個人的Opera覚え書き_2008Jan

MovableType4でエントリプレビュー出来ないし、右クリックは妙に重いし、グリモンだとかUserJSだとかが干渉しまくってる気がしてきたのでOpera9.25を再セットアップした。
折角だし軽くメモっておく。

スキンはいつも通りbreeze_simplified_micro

このスキンは全ての要素が最小限のサイズに抑えられていて、ゴテゴテとナビゲーションボタンなどを配置しまくる癖のある私には最適。
VaioU3がメインだった頃から使い始めてここ数年不動の地位を占めている。

他に良いスキンが無いか久々に探してみたら、同様の省スペース指向なものを見つけた。

お、ファイルメニューとかBreeze_Simplified_Microより狭い! (消してるから関係ないけど...)

狭すぎると駄目、ってな人には向いてないと思う。
あと老眼になったら使えないんだろうな。

メニューバーを消す

keyboard.iniをGUIから開いて"Unix"でフィルタ掛けるとそれっぽいのが引っかかるのでプラットフォーム制限を外して保存すればAlt+F11で消せるようになってるはず。
初めてメモった気がする。なぜかいつもこの設定方法を忘れる。

ちなみに今日のこの記事は自分用のメモなので、Operaを初めて使う人のことなんて知りません...
Operaユーザが増えると嬉しいか、と聞かれても素直に「勿論ですよ!」と言えない男の子なのです。

以下チラ裏。
個人的にはOperaって敷居が高すぎると思ってるけど、どうにもならない。
だから人には「あぁOpera使ってるよ!最高だよ」と云うけど「Opera使えば?」と勧められない。

ゴテゴテのスキンでカスタマイズしまくり、というのも勿論可能ではあるけど、Operaはサバイバルに於けるナイフのようなもので、シンプル且つ必要充分な機能に絞り込むことで手に馴染んだ道具になる、と考える。

他のブラウザと比較して、設定が面倒な訳ではないと思う。(出来ないことも多いけど)
ただコンピュータ慣れしていない人やGoogle先生と親しくない人には辛いと思う。
そういう人には耕耘機にもラグジュアリーカーにもなれるFirefoxを使うのを勧めてる。

そして個人的にはフレーム剥き出しで走る低燃費なOperaが無いとwwwを彷徨うには足が折れる。
ただそれだけ。

"馬糞を撒き散らしながら闊歩するIE6"という例えが浮かんだけど、適切なのかは不明。
